Konnichiwa everyone. Another shipment from Japan has arrived in the Studio. Susoyoke, are half-slips for wearing under kimono, they simply wrap around the body and have ties to hold the slip closed. The pink one is plain while the white one has a floral pattern. The Studio is open Sat, Sun, and Mon. 12:00-5:00

Konnichiwa. Just arrived from Japan. Unused Vintage Obi-Jime. These ties are used to hold the Obi in place. They can also be used for skinny belts that are trending right now. I like to use them with dresses and jeans. The are weaved silk! So colorful and pretty!

Konnichiwa everyone. I had a fun day modeling in Kimono for a local artists group. The ladies were so nice, they took me out for lunch after the session. I chose this Kimono because of the large pattern and pretty colours. Easier to paint than a small pattern.

Konnichiwa everyone. New to the Studio, this beautiful girls Silk Kimono. So pretty with the long sleeves. There are tucks at the shoulders that can easily be removed to up size the Kimono! So clever. The colors are quite stunning. I find the camera doesn't really capture the vibrancy of the pattern. There is lots of gold on this beauty as well.

Konnichiwa everyone. Happy Saturday! It's supposed to be another nice day a today. Blessed to be living on the Island. Today I'm sharing the Vintage and Antique brooches I use for Obi-Dome. Some of these were my grandmothers. I've been collecting for a long time. Hope this inspires you to use interesting brooches to finish your Obi-Jime.

Konnichiwa everyone. Well, it certainly is the "wet" coast today! This is the last Obi change for the beautiful wool Kimono. I love this silver Obi, so pretty, it adds a touch of elegance to the Kimono. The Obi-jime has the perfect ombré tones for the Kimono. The shop is open 12:00-5:00 daily occasionally the closed sign will be up.

Konnichiwa everyone. I'm using the same Kimono with an accessory switch out. I like how it changes the look of the Kimono. The ombre Obi is so subtle the pic doesn't really do it justice. I have one more post with an alternative accessory switch out with this Kimono. The Studio is open most days 12:00-5:00 or by appointment.

Konnichiwa everyone. Great gift idea. I repurposed this beautiful antique Japanese Obi. The runner is 8" 9" long and 12" wide. Included are three placemats, one same pattern as runner and the other two are plain black silk. One side of the runner is a beautiful Butterfly pattern and the reverse is plain black silk. Studio is open daily 12:00-5:00. Some lovely gift ideas in Studio. Happy Holidays!
