My dear customers and friends,

I don't know where to start. As this is everything but easy for me. We were taught to rip of the band-aid and it will be OK, but this is different.

This decision wasn't made easily but sometimes life takes turns that we can't plan or predict.

Today I have to announce with a very heavy heart the closure of the Mr. Tailor Shop.

Since 1997 this Shop was a part in the heart of Penticton. It wasn't only a place for alterations and repairs, it was also a place for laughter, sharing funny (sometimes sad) stories and pretty often also a place where people got in contact again after not seeing each other for a very long time. And for me it was even more. My passion I brought in when I took over the store 5 years ago grew with every single customer. Especially for bridal gowns and dresses. Where others see pain in the fingers by looking at thousands of beads, buttons and lace, I see relaxation and inner balance/peace. For me it was always something special to make a dress fit for a special event. But even more special and beautiful was the smile and happy glowing eyes when everything was finally perfect for the one and only moment of a wedding or prom. 💐 That's what I will miss the most. And of course all my customers that put their trust into my work and always came with a smile on their face into my shop. ❤️

But unfortunately there were just to many challenges and changes that I couldn't manage that easily anymore and forced me to make certain decisions.

The doors will be open until September 19th, 2025 but unfortunately I'm not able to take any orders anymore because I'm fully booked until the final day.

For now there's no plan if I will offer certain services on a home business level. But if so I'll keep you posted.

Good morning,
Today I'd like to clarify something. The last few days I got told from a few people that there is the rumor that I'm gone and the shop is not here anymore. That's not true. Not even a bit. I'm here. Where else should I be?!
Yes the shop was closed from time to time but that was healt related. I apologize for the inconveniences. There will be some changes in future but nothing is set and the shop will stay here. So please stop spreading miss information. If there are some changes, I'll let you know. But until then I'm here, sewing and taking care of your clothing. 🧵🪡

With spring sneaking in, the Wedding- and Prom- Season is also in full swing.
If you have a dress or suit that needs alterations, don't wait for to long to make an appointment. As my schedule is already quite filled I'll accept ALTERATIONS ONLY (NO REPAIRS OR ZIPPER REPLACEMENTS) beginning April the 15th until further information. Repairs on Wedding/Prom-Dresses and suits will be still accepted.

Last year I had the honor to receive the first place for the best of dry cleaning and alterations and this year I got nominated again. I'm so grateful for your trust in my work and passion. Thank you so much!💕
