I love my Janome 6600. It is a 12 year old powerhouse. I had the good fortune to find a 30+year old Janome 8000 computerized embroidery machine which also sews all the utility stitches for everyday sewing. Of course I jumped right in and tried the most intricate embroidery first. Needless to say I packed it back up and it sat in my collection of machines. This week I pulled it back out, I reintroduced myself politely, and started with the small talk and basic stitches, moving my way through the dozens of decorative stitches. I figured out her quirks and honoured them. I was rewarded with some impressive stitching. REALLY glad I tried again.
