Cool I wish I could go

SAVE THE DATE - on the 1st to the 4th December 2023 we are holding the ‘Patterns of Fashion’ Festival in London to celebrate the completion of our new revised and enlarged all-colour editions of ‘Patterns of Fashion’ book series by Janet Arnold. The first two days will be held at Conway Hall in Bloomsbury, central London, followed by two days of events at our school in Waterloo, where our third exhibition in ‘Our Collection by Colour’ series will open, there will be tours of our school, dressings and demonstrations. Details of the Festival will be announced in August and bookings will open on the 1st September. The image is of the late Janet Arnold taking a pattern of a c.1640 doublet in the Livrustkammaren belonging to Gustav II Adolf - to be included in ‘Patterns of Fashion 7’ on men’s 17th century dress.

I hear that other businesses are too busy to fit in all the requests for hems or alterations. Give me a pm. I have LOTS of time open. I have been in business since 1974. I have retired from my 36 year position as a Historic Costume Specialist at Upper Canada Village.
