I’m not a huge fan of mending but I also know how important it is to lower our footprint in the fashion world so I do it where I can. My favourite technique is visible mending. It gives so much character to an older item and shows that the garment has history and a story to tell. Here is a pair of pants over 20 years old that were very torn up on the thigh. My husband will get many more years out of this comfortable, worked in pair of pants. What’s your favourite mending technique?

Weekly themes include composting (someone say worms!), recycling, water preservation (with a yoga twist!) and so much more! Starting October 20 for 8 weeks, Wednesdays at 9:30am. Ages 3-6.
