I'm having a such a good time! Cataract surgery today! It will be worth it to see properly again as my depth perception has been so screwed up.

I get the next one done in October.

I had a chance to work on a lovely little machine called the Elna Lotus. It was a pioneering unit in portable machines. It measures only 9.5 inches high, 11.75 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. It was fun to have the chance to service it.

I have added a few items that may prove needful for some folks. I have 2 ounce bottles of Tri Flow machine oil, 4cm miniature screwdrivers that work well for getting at those pesky needle plate screws, and a selection of needles in various sizes.

The needles are Organ brand in steel, and the Superior Top Stitch are the titanium ones with the large eye. Unfortunately, I have to get the titanium ones out of the USA and they are pricier that the regular Organ ones.

Regular needles, the screwdrivers, and oil bottles are $5 each, the Superior titanium needles are $15 per pack.

For those who have a thread cutter on the bobbin winder of their machines, be aware that thread may get caught underneath and can cause problems. The cutter itself can be taken off and the thread snarl removed as shown in the picture. Any difficulties with it, please feel free to give me a call. :)

Another machine back from the brink. I managed to get it cleaned up, adjusted, removed some cobwebs, and a couple of epic thread snarls as well. I also managed to repair the busted spool pin! It runs like a top now! :)

The latest addition to my growing novelty collection. A candy / cookie tin measuring 7.5" long. It is in pristine shape!
