* shop closed * maybe you noticed, maybe you didn’t…but it’s been quiet over here! Part of me didn’t want to make a post because it made it feel real, and the other part wanted to close the chapter. 7.5 years of sewing and being supported by so many. Watching your babies grow up, congratulating you on your growing families, sharing memories, moments and photos of your little ones in IBA. It’s all meant so much to me in my own motherhood journey. Island Baby Apparel has served its purpose for our family, and the time has come to close up shop. At first I felt a little shame for this decision. Like I failed. But a wonderful friend reminded me that that was the furthest thing from the truth. I built something out of nothing. I poured everything I had into this shop, sometimes just leaving drops of me left for my family. Life has changed so much for us in the last year, and after many many years, I started work outside of the house last month. With that said… it’s the end of IBA! Thank you for all the support, the lessons learnt, the acceptance and the love. I truly appreciate every single one of you for being here, following along, hanging around while I went through MANY life changes, had babies, slowed down, sped up.
