Hi, I'm Alex! It's been a while since i came on to introduce myself. I'm the owner, planner, creative mind, and sometimes professional chaos coordinator behind Poppy Design Co. Events!

I started Poppy in September 2023 with a love for bringing people together, creating beautiful spaces, and turning big ideas into unforgettable experiences. What started as a passion for event planning has grown into a business that allows me to do what I love every single day.

From weddings and corporate celebrations to community festivals and everything in between, I've had the privilege of being part of some pretty incredible moments.

But there's more to me than colour palettes, timelines, and perfectly styled tables!

Outside of Poppy, I'm a wife, a mom to a busy little boy, a runner, and someone who genuinely loves being involved in our community. Whether I'm organizing a local festival, volunteering at a race, or planning someone's dream wedding, you'll usually find me juggling about ten things at once (and loving most of it!).

Afew things you should know about me:
- I'm a big believer that the little details make the biggest difference.
- I thrive on a good spreadsheet, a tight timeline, and a little bit of organized chaos.
- Community is incredibly important to me, and giving back is a huge part of who I am.
- I love taking someone's vision and turning it into something even better than they imagined.
- I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves, move furniture, climb a ladder, or do whatever it takes to make an event come together.

At the heart of Poppy is something pretty simple: I love creating moments that bring people together.

Poppy Design Co. Events is now booking corporate holiday parties for the 2026 season!

Whether you’re planning an intimate team celebration or a full-scale company Christmas party, I can help bring it together — from the overall theme and design to décor, setup, activities, entertainment coordination and all those little details that make an event memorable.

If your team is ready to celebrate the end of another year without adding “plan the Christmas party” to someone’s already-full workload, I’d love to help.

Summer, you were a busy one. ☀️

A few weddings, a whole lot of community events, race days, road trips, carnival nights, celebrations, early mornings, late nights, and so many moments in between.

Somehow this summer was equal parts work, play, chaos, and really great memories — and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Here’s to a summer well spent, a camera roll overflowing, and maybe catching my breath before the next season begins. 🤍
