On August 29, an executive order signed by Donald Trump will end the de minimus exemption, which allowed goods worth less than $800 to enter the USA duty-free. Countless small businesses rely on this exemption to be able to sell to the USA. For Canada, the tariff rate is 35%.

Due to the murkiness & uncertainty, many have stopped shipping to the USA entirely until there is more clarity, and systems put in place to account for these new fees.

VVCO has had to make the disappointing decision to pause all US shipping for the time being. Shipping to the US will resume when customers are not slammed with a big fee to be received. This is really really scary for us, since 85% of our customers are in the USA. I appreciate all of our American friends and supporters SO MUCH, and I am so very sorry that we are all going through such difficulties right now.

For our Canadian friends, shopping our site will continue as normal! Starting September 1st, all domestic orders will receive free shipping.

Our next in-person market is Queen City Vintage Market in Regina September 5th 12-8pm, and September 6th 10-4pm.
