In 10 years, I’ve sold at over 25 markets in 3 different cities! My first was Queen City Vintage Market in Fall 2019, followed by The Cure Kitchen + Bar, my backyard, T+A VINTAGE MUSIC, Regina Folk Festival (RIP), Swift Current Marketsquare, Second Hand Social x POP SHOP, 𝕋𝕙𝕣𝕚𝕗𝕥𝕞𝕒𝕤 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕜𝕖𝕥, Swamp Fest, PAVED Arts, 4th_quarter_vintage Dated & Faded, and I’m happy to be coming back to Saskatoon Fringe Festival for Broadway Days August 1-3rd ☀️

Markets are my one of my favourite parts of this job, SO stressful but so wonderful to meet people face to face, and see their excitement!

Markets are SO MUCH WORK and you need so many hands to help, even if it’s just to give you a break to get food and go p*e.

Big hug and kiss and thanks to my friends and family who’ve sat at my booth, brought me food, talked up my business to others, and generally made my life easier and better ❤️

WE ARE 10 🎉❤️💐💥✨

10 years ago today I started selling on Etsy under Victory Vintage Co. I was 18, still living in my hometown at my parents, not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life but I knew I loved vintage clothing. I loved the intersection of history, fashion, design, and lowering my carbon footprint while saving money. I had begun collecting (mostly by accident) and my family encouraged me to try selling pieces online.

The first item I ever sold was a striped silk robe (1st image) a woman bought to wear in her get-ready photos for her Halloween wedding (if you know me you KNOW how much I love Halloween). It’s corny but it felt kind of meant to be. She was ecstatic and I never turned back. I loved helping people find pieces that excited them, made them feel good in their bodies, and helped them appreciate the beauty and build of vintage garments.

VVCO had come with me through 3 cities, 8 homes, 1 university degree and many, many different hair styles and makeup looks 😂

In the last few years my dreams of working in theatre has overtaken the little time I had left for VVCO, but I’m not ready to give it up yet. It brings me too much joy, has brought me some truly beautiful vintage pieces, and of course, has introduced me to countless wonderful people both—selling and buying.

So thanks! I truly couldn’t have done it alone and I can’t wait to see what the next ten years hold ❤️💐

We’ll be posting some throwbacks and announcing HOW we’re celebrating 10 years today so keep watching!
