The most important details are that drinking water while sweating is essential for maintaining normal body function and performance levels. To rehydrate while exercising, the American Council on Exercise recommends drinking 7 to 10 ounces of fluid every 10 to 20 minutes during exercise. Dehydration occurs when you use or lose more fluid than you take in, and your body lacks enough water and other fluids to function normally. 5 signs of dehydration include feeling thirsty, dark yellow, strong-smelling p*e, feeling dizzy or lightheaded, feeling tired, a dry mouth, lips and tongue, and sunken eyes.
