I'm so proud of this piece! it's been about a year from start to finish. I learned a lot, since this is my first ever blanket! this Goliath is off to it's forever home this Tuesday, and I'm both sad to see it go but also very glad to not have to work on it anymore 🫣

it's much larger than I anticipated, but that's a good thing! the flat photos can't capture it, so it's me and my love seat for scale on this guy, hehe

she's very heavy, very warm and cozy, and very very squishy. as much as I'm relieved to have a break from blankets, I NEED MORE!

yet another Flower of Life Hooded Jacket but this time it's fully UV reactive! this one is about 50% following the pattern and 50% freehanded. this version features a massive hood that can be pulled all the way over the head and face revealing a creature surprise!

the eye and horns are both freehanded and took way more attempts than I expected or care to admit 😮‍💨 that being said though I couldn't be happier with the end result

with Christmas behind us, I can start to share the gifts I've made! admittedly, most of them are still WIPs, but I refused to burn myself out and gift a project I no longer was proud of because I rushed myself through it.

you may recognize this pillow from last year, it's similar yet very different. my sister commissioned this piece for her mother-in-law. the pillowcase is the same as the one I gifted to my sister last year and even the same size (18"x18"), but instead of dog paw prints to honour my sister's dogs, she requested a green feather to commemorate her MILs pet bird!

I can't believe I've been working on this project since January and I haven't shared it once. check the third slide for my hook for scale!

this is a WIP of a massive blanket scarf I'm working on for a friend of mine. it's going to be 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide, all made with super fine yarn held double.

100% cotton, he is going to dye it himself later on!

so ya girl learned how to knit 😌

it's nothing much, but this is my first EVER cast on and I couldn't be happier with her. there are mistakes but honestly you probably wouldn't notice them unless I showed you where they were which in my books is a complete success. I can't wait to see where this journey takes me! I already have so many ideas for what to make next. feel free to drop any tips for better knitting or your favourite beginner friendly patterns/designers down below 👇🏻⬇️

it may not be Wednesday anymore but I couldn't wait a week to share this WIP

I'm sure this is instantly recognisable but in case it's not, I'm working on a Mario 1-Up Mushroom blanket. so far it's about 2 feet tall by 5.5 feet wide and still growing. finished dimensions should be a little over 6 feet in both height and width

stay tuned to watch him grow!

my largest finished piece yet!

when I was commissioned to make this jacket I was nothing short of excited, and seeing it completed is so satisfying and heartwarming.

it's going to be worn at this September, and to celebrate that I was asked to stitch it somewhere into the jacket itself. it only felt appropriate to go all out and use UV reactive yarn and sew it right onto the hood. I've also added a pocket for convenience. swipe to see both of these shots!

part of why this is such a proud make for me, is how much I had to modify it to fit my customer. luckily, I just so happen to have a boyfriend who has very similar measurements so it wasn't too hard to just have him try it on when I wasn't sure. I ended up really extending the sleeves and adding two triangular granny stitch sections on the chest to make the fit a little more accommodating for a man.

picked up this adorable air plant at my local farmers market a couple of weeks ago, now he's the darnedest little jellyfish you ever did see!

I found this pattern on Pinterest months before I ever had an air plant, but it looked so cute and I knew it would probably come in handy one day so I pinned it anyway. now I'm so glad I did, I mean look at it 😭😢 it's just so cute

another Totoro for the books

these lil guys take a surprising amount of work, but the end result is always so rewarding it's totally worth it! especially once I start to pose him around in the garden with some greenery he really comes to life as the forest spirit he is

not to mention I always appreciate the opportunity to listen to the beautiful opening theme to the movie, so soothing and joyful!

so I do men's wear now too 🙃

it's a little late but I finally got around to taking pictures of this t-shirt I made my boyfriend for his birthday! hopefully I can convince him to let me take his picture in it eventually ☺️

since it's a sport weight yarn this shirt is so light and airy it's a perfect summer garment, and being 100% cotton it is incredibly soft and breathable.

I used a different yarn than was recommended for this pattern, and I accidentally ordered literally twice as much as I needed so I'm going to make myself a matching one in inverted colours! stay tuned to see that when I finally get around to it 😉

Vincent's beautiful yet troubled life has always touched my heart in more ways than one, and having an opportunity to craft him stitch by stitch was not only pleasurable but almost therapeutic. knowing how much he suffered and still being able to leave behind a legacy of grace and peace is such a powerful sentiment and he truly does deserve to live on forever through it. may your soul rest easy, Vincent
