Hey guys! It’s been a whole year since you heard from me last! I’m still here, though I definitely do not have time to sew like I used to. Inspiration still strikes once in a while and I have been making a few things here and there.
This craft market has an amazing line up of vendors, including yours truly, this weekend at the Community Centre. Come stop by and say hi!

Christmas Market on the weekend was a huge success! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped to say hi and chat with me and my helper, it was nice to see so many of you!

And to those who made purchases at this market and previously, thank you so much. It’s my favourite way to be creative and it makes me happy when you all love it too 💜

Earlier this year, I was having some issues with my sewing machine. I’ve never had a new one before. The two machines I use come from my grandmas and are over 20 years old . But this year, I finally made a giant leap and bought myself a brand new, beautiful Bernina. There have been growing pains and days that I’ve wanted to throw the machine straight into the garbage. But, I feel like I’m getting the hang of it now and am glad I made the investment.

Tomorrow is February already?! How?!

2023 is already flying by, even though most years January feels like it has 74 days instead of just 31 😜

Here’s a little throwback to my daughter’s birthday gift a couple years ago 🥰 I’ll tell you a story about the bunny.

Where we live, we get snowstorms and hail. But when I was hand sewing the last bit of the bunny for my daughter’s birthday gift, we had an earthquake. The earthquake was strong enough to shake our house and deck and scare my husband and I. My daughter woke up and came out to the living room and saw me with the bunny which I frantically threw across the room, hoping she wouldn’t notice 😂

The next day she asked who the big bunny was for and said she really wished it was for her. I lied and told her it was for a cousins birthday that was coming up and she believed me but what are the odds we would have an earthquake that would wake her up and she would see her birthday gift?!

I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start and you enjoy these little throwback pictures 💕

The sweetest little elephant, with dance slippers and a tutu to match 🩰

Handmade gifts are my absolute favourite. I love personalizing something to give to someone and this little Elephant, who has since been named Elly, was made for my daughter who loves to dance 💕

The prettiest set of pouches sent off as a gift this week! My daughter helped me choose all the materials to make these for her teacher and I think they turned out beautifully 🌸

Matching but opposite! This is such a pretty blue. I used the same two fabrics but did them the exact opposite of each other and love the way they turned out 🥰

My most favourite thing, aside from the moment a bag is completely finished, is selecting the perfect combination of fabrics and hardware.

This floral interior was a perfect match for the rose gold hardware that pops against the black faux leather. This beauty is going to be a tough one to let go 🖤
