Hi Everyone!! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this page. As you know we closed our Saint John location during the pandemic but I wanted to take a moment and share something exciting with you that is happening in Saint John!

Susan, who was the awesome manager of our Inspire Collections Boutique in Saint John, started an exciting new venture that I wanted to share with you. She started her own business called A Dash of Vintage. Beautiful handcrafted aprons. I ordered one for myself and one for my daughter!! Such perfect gifts.

Here’s what Susan had to say:

Like most of us during the pandemic I was cooking and baking alot more. I was always getting splatter and stains on my clothes, so I made myself an apron with a tea towel. I said to myself, " I can't be the only one without an apron". That's when I decided to make more and sell them.
I am a self taught crafter who loves all things vintage and retro. My aprons will always include " a dash of vintage" fabric, buttons, Rick Rack, lace, thread or the design.
PS: Aprons make awesome gifts.

So many memories in this space! Memories of happy customers and amazing staff!

This has been on my mind over the past week and I’m finally getting a moment to share with you my thoughts. This morning I want to take a moment and thank everyone who contributed to the success of our Saint John boutique from it’s very beginning until now. I was blessed with amazing women to work with right from the very beginning. It would be impossible to name every person from the last 7 years but I want you to know that I appreciated your contribution. 💗

There are three key employees that I want to mention this morning. Christine Bamford, Susan Bamford & Claire Chisholm.

Christine has been with me the longest and to say she’s been a loyal employee can’t even begin to sum up all that she is. Amazing work ethic, fantastic customer service skills and FUN to work with -the list goes on!! I’m sure going to miss you Christine!!💗

Through Christine I had the pleasure of meeting Susan. Susan and Christine are sisters. Susan was referred by Christine and she became our most recent manager. Susan transformed our boutique!! Susan has a special ability to make things beautiful!! Even as I was closing, everywhere I looked there were beautiful displays. Susan brought a new level of organization to our boutique (the back room was unbelievable!) and she also was excellent with our customers! I was truly blessed!! And I’m going to miss you Susan!💗

Last, but not least in any way! Claire Chisholm you are going places in life!! What a beautiful young woman you are and what a fantastic worker!! Claire was very goal oriented and took her work very seriously. Claire was our fashionista! I’m sure a sack would look good on you!! 😉 I’m going to miss you too!! But I’ll be watching to see where life takes you because I can see so much potential in you. 💗. Claire is Christine’s daughter! All I can say is the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

There are days when I feel inadequate and fall short but it’s the good people that I surround myself with that truly make all the difference!💗

In this closing I have learned so many things. It really is all about people - your customers and your staff. They really are the heros of any business!

CLOSING Announcement for SAINT JOHN:

As you are aware, we haven’t opened since we closed for COVID-19 and with a second wave being predicted, and the cruise ships canceled until next year, we have decided to not reopen. This was a very difficult decision to make and it’s taken us this long to come to a final decision.

We sincerely appreciate all your support over the past 7 years!! It’s truly been an honour for us to serve you! Our sincerest wish right now is that you all continue to stay safe.

We do plan on opening our online boutique this fall, that we may better serve you in new ways.

Thanks again Saint John!! We will miss you!💗
