May and June are two of our busiest months! Anyone else? With calving season slowly wrapping up, music recitals bringing our year of lessons to a close, 4-H achievement day, baseball and jr rodeo season starting up, never mind the yard work and gardening, and daily housework we are swamped!

I wanted to say a big thank you for your support at our recent market, and to give an update- I have 2 pending custom orders to finish up this week, then a short break to finish up our homeschooling year and get my second graduated, as well as get some help fixing my website issues. Thank you to all who reached out to tell me it wasn’t working! I am not very techy…🙈 I am hoping to post current items in the shop by the last week of June, I’ll keep you posted! Again- thank you for all of your support! I can’t wait to share some new items with you soon!

Hi, I'm Erin Russell, and I'm the creator here at Down Magnolia Road. I wanted to share a bit about who I am! I am a single mom living with 5 of my 6 children (my oldest daughter just got married!)
We live on my parents cattle ranch down the Magnolia road in Alberta Canada.
I have always loved creating, whether with yarn and needles or sewing machine and thread, I love finding the perfect colour combination, and I really love all thing baby and child.
When I'm not in my sewing room, you'll find me outside in the garden, down hill skiing, playing at the river with the kids, curled up by the fire with a good book, out milking my Brown Swiss milk cow, making cheese and butter in the kitchen, reading classics out loud with my kids, listening to one of the kids playing violin or piano and having family dinner around our busy dining room table.

Excited to see you all there!

Join us and our friends on May 5th at the Market stands on Main Street in Evansburg for a fun evening! We will have our seeds with us, along with all presale orders. Our friends will have all their great wares with them, and the WEE Community Food Bank will be accepting non perishable donations for entries into awesome prize draws that evening, as well as entry into the 2025 Feeding Families Grow Challenge. They'll be handing out a collection we made for this event - the WEE Community Food Bank Collection along with seed potatoes, tomato seedlings and other goodies to the first 50 people who make a donation ($40+ value) to help get you started in growing for our community.

An incredible community event with some pretty spectacular vendors - come on down for the evening and meet us, and others in our community! 💚

I took January and February off to do a bit of personal sewing, but I’m excited to be back sewing hoodies for you! These two were a custom order and I love how they turned out!
I’m also working on some new designs for spring, so stay tuned for those.

After a very busy summer and fall I am back sewing!
