The Proud Ally

The Proud Ally is a locally owned business based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada! I am 39 years old, mother of 3 gorgeous boys, Cruz, Cade and Tyce, and I am married to my bestest friend and biggest supporter in the world, Graham. I came up with the my business idea literally the day after my brother ‘came out’ to me - this has taken me over 6 years to be brave enough to bring to fruition!!

I am so very proud of my little brother for not ever wavering from his true self and standing his ground, but I remember thinking to myself - why is coming out so hard? Why does it have to be this production and not just celebrated like any other human is? I dove deep into many (like hundreds) of stories, media coverages, and history of the LGBTQ community to learn about why and how our treasured loved ones, friends and all others suffered and truly hid themselves in fear. I am PROUD to be an Ally for ALL of the LGBTQ community. I have NO SHAME in announcing that and will always stand up for what I believe in - which is ALL HUMAN-BEINGS ARE WORTHY AND DESERVING OF LOVE - IN ALL COLOURS, SHAPES AND SIZES. It has been my privilege to live openly and freely in my sexuality and choices, so I would love to empower those whose voices aren’t heard as loudly, and ensure that people of all genders and orientations feel that they can celebrate who they are without fear! As little of an impact that clothing and accessories can seem to some, I truly hope you find some comfort knowing you have one true supporter in me and that to me, Pride means showing my support as an LGBTQ ally and celebrating the progress that’s been made as a community. It’s both a celebration of inclusiveness and a remembrance of the hard work, dedication, and suffering that took place to get us to where we are today.
