Feel like a warrior everywhere you go with a Dun Da Place hoodie. These masks are a representation of African warrior face paint. In the position of the third eye, there is a west-African Adinkra symbol that carries the meaning "he who does not know, can know from learning." We fight through life always pushing to learn and evolve into better warriors on a daily basis. "Dun Da Place" is a Jamaican saying that means to literally "done the place". As in "finish the place." As in do something so well that no one can come in after you and do it like you did, because you finished the job successfully. Available in various colours.

"Took me from my roots, but I'm dancing in Swahili" is a line from the song "Crisis" by Dynesti. The song touches on the power that emerges as we heal from generational pain. Slavery and colonization have done a lot to the Black and Indigenous communities. They tried to break us, but we are still here, and we are still dancing. Available in various colours.

Scarborough is the easternmost and largest borough in the city of Toronto and its where WaterHen was founded. A negative picture of Scarborough has been painted for decades from people who aren’t from the borough. Very little has been done to create change and minimize the issues experienced by residents of Toronto's east end. Scarborough is beautiful, and the people of Scarborough deserve to take pride in where they’re from.

The dollar sign in the "S" represents the resilience through hustle that is needed to adapt to the ever-changing conditions of the borough. We need mental fortitude to expand our communities. The Trojan warrior-style font symbolizes the perseverance that comes with the trials and tribulations experience by every Scarborough yute on their way to adulthood.

Help to shift the dialogue about Scarborough with a purchase of this purple hoodie on https://bit.ly/38aaLwG today.

The WaterHen Corporation is an Indigenous and Afro-Caribbean clothing, merchandise, and apparel line dedicated to inspiring people to emerge from harsh circumstances in life with resilience, perseverance, and mental fortitude. 10% of all WaterHen profits will go toward supporting people who need help fighting through harsh circumstances. There are 2000 homeless youth on any given night in Toronto. There are 9300 children and youth in care (foster care, Children’s Aid) on a monthly basis in Ontario. We dedicate a portion of our profits towards developing and supporting programs and workshops to assist these youth on their journeys.💧

A WaterHen is another word for a waterfowl. In Native American culture, there is a story told of a waterhen who endures the cold, harsh winters effortlessly while other animals cower. Referred to as Shingebiss in the Ojibwe language, the waterhen is just a small duck in appearance, yet it preserves with resilience through the worst conditions. In the story, there is another creature called the winter-maker that sees the WaterHen’s strength, and repeatedly attempts to defeat him, but the winter-maker is unsuccessful in his efforts. Throughout the attacks, the WaterHen doesn’t even view the winter-maker or anyone else as an enemy. To us WaterHens, the competitors are just fellow creatures who cannot touch us.
