At Redwood Classics, we don’t finalize a grading sheet until the size specs have been carefully developed, refined, verified, and nested during the Product Development stage.

What you’re hearing (and seeing) is part of that process: layers of nested patterns being checked and trimmed to ensure every size is built with precision before production begins.

It sounds satisfying, AND it’s also one of the many details that help us deliver consistent fit and quality, every time.

: We've talked before about the importance of pre-shrinking the fabric we use in all of our garments. Seen here is our 9 oz combed cotton jersey being unravelled and prepared for that process!

Before a single piece is cut or sewn, we take each dye lot of fabric, unroll it completely, then wash and dry it. Once the fabric has been properly pre-shrunk, we re-roll it and move it into production.

It's an extra step, but one we're proud to take. By pre-shrinking our fabric before manufacturing, we help ensure that every piece of apparel stays true to size and performs the way it's meant to, wash after wash.

Quality starts long before the sewing begins.
