The Royal Canadian Legion Br 134 has been an invaluable contributor to our community for years, And now it is time to support them in building a safer parking lot for their members and visitors. To help support this goal, I will be hosting Booktok Bingo night at the legion on September 11th from 6-8:30, with all proceeds going to support the Legion's goals. YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED!

The Grand Ball 2027: Masquerade Edition
📅 March 6, 2027 | 6–11 p.m.
📍 Shawnigan Lake Community Centre
🎭 18+ Event

I created The Grand Ball because I wanted to bring our community together and give everyone a reason to get dressed up and attend something truly grand.

There will be dancing, food, a cash bar, entertainment, an indoor market filled with curated artisans and makers, an Oracle, immersive décor, and so much more still to be revealed!

We shouldn't have to live vicariously through our phones, watching people elsewhere attend extravagant events—or wait for a wedding or prom to have an excuse to dress up and experience something magical.

So this spring, we're transforming the entire Shawnigan Lake Community Centre into an immersive night of fantasy, joy, dancing, and enchantment.

And this isn't just a one-time event.

The Grand Ball will return each year with a new theme.

For our inaugural year, we're beginning with...

So find your mask, plan the outfit you've always wanted an excuse to wear, gather your friends (or come on your own!), and join us for the very first Grand Ball.
