September 30th is a day to honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities who continue to be affected by this history.

It is a day to remember the truths of what happened, to listen to the experiences and voices of Survivors, and to reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.

Today, we pause to remember, to learn, and to honour those at the heart of this day. 🧡

Every Child Matters.

🧡 Every Child Matters

As we approach September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we are taking time to reflect, remember, and honour.

September 30 is a day to honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and the children who never returned home. It is also an opportunity to learn about the history and lasting impacts of the residential school system and to reflect on our shared responsibility toward truth and reconciliation.

Wearing orange is one way to visibly acknowledge this history and show that we remember the children and affirm that Every Child Matters.

We carry a selection of Every Child Matters pieces, including shirts, hoodies, magnets and other items, for those who wish to wear or display them as part of their own remembrance and reflection.

🧡 Wear orange. Listen. Learn. Remember. Reflect.

We encourage everyone to take time this September 30 to learn, reflect, and honour the Survivors, families, communities, and children at the heart of this day

🍂 We want to hear from you!

As we head into the autumn season, we’re starting to think about what we’d love to bring into the Serpent River Trading Post — and we want your input! 🧡

What products would you like to see on our shelves this season?
🍁 Anything new you’d love for us to carry?
🍂 Old favourites you’d like to see make a comeback?
🧡 Seasonal items you think we should bring in?
✨ Or maybe something completely different that you think our community would love?

No suggestion is too big, too small, or too random! We want to know what you want to see.

Our customers and community are at the heart of what we do, and you’re the ones who keep us going. Your feedback helps us make the Trading Post a place that reflects what our community actually wants and needs.

Drop your ideas in the comments, send us a message, or let us know the next time you’re in the store! 👇🏼

What do you want to see at the Trading Post this fall? 🍁🧡
