Welcome to Siamurai, formerly known as Siam Samurai Design
INTRO:
Siamurai, "Siam" is the former name of Thailand & "Samurai" represent the Japanese Print. We are a small family business passionate in creating unique handmade clothes with Japanese & Thai prints. I first started my business in 2011 with my wife Phak B**g in the Southern Region of Thailand, a place called Ao Nang, Krabi. Now we live in Vancouver, BC of Canada and continuing with our passion with designing handmade clothes. THE STORY:
Our story began in the Spring of 2011, I first met my beautiful wife on a scuba diving trip in Thailand. She was a scuba diving guide at the time, originally from Amnat Charoen, Northeast of Thailand. We had a great connection and we spent lots of time together exploring the country and learning about her Thai culture. In the beginning, we opened our own little shop in a marketplace of Ao Nang in Krabi. We were there for about one & half years and it was a great learning experience for us. During the time, I was inspired by the Thai culture. We had a chance to meet with lots of great local designers and passionate art & creative people. We learned many things about fabric and designs. Since then, we started creating our own custom pattern and choosing our own fabric. In the beginning of 2014, we moved to Vancouver. We decided to carry on our passion in creativity and started "Siamurai" Apparel. All year round, we go to many local music, street and craft festivals to showcase our products. My inspiration comes from my passion for creating samurai style clothing by pairing unique textures together of Japanese & Thai fabric. My pass experience in creativity helped me appreciate the beauty of fabric designs and along with the help from my wife, I decided to create custom patterns that are ninja & samurai like. I choose all the fabric & fabric print myself. My wife & Tob assist me with the negotiation of fabric buying, cutting and sewing of my designs. I love the creativity and I will continue making small handmade production of these comfy pants based on selected fabrics as I encounter them from time to time. All the products in my shop are limited in number and designs. I hope you love them as much as I do and be able to find an unique piece for yourself or your loved ones!
