A fun filled night that will incorporate ad lib stand-up comedy, music and dancing into the wee hours. Doors Open at 8, comedy starts at 9. There will be professional comedians performing and the opportunity for an open mic, for those that are interested in getting their feet wet. The audience will be loving, caring, non-judgemental and will be a perfect environment to bring out the creativity of the amazing talent that Vancouver has to offer. The premise of the night is to define the word "it". There will be non vocal music playing lightly in the background and performances and singing and comedy are encouraged.

The inspiration for the night comes from the passing of a close friend Mike Michael Nyuis (Open Mike). He was a dreamer, a daredevil and an inspiration to anyone whose lives that he touched. His passing has motivated me to move forward with my dreams and start a new type of comedy that will be termed "it" comedy. This is the inagural night. If the feeling of being at the part of the start of a movement resonates with you, this is an event not to be missed. Cover is $7 and partial proceeds of any profits will be going towards a charity to benefit deaf people.

Friends. When a good friend of Mine Mike Nyuis passed I had been working on doing Stand Up Comedy and his passing really motivated me to start following my dreams and not let anything stop me. I have started a business called Goodpeople and our first off broadway production will be doors Tuesday August 18 at 8pm. Show starts at 9. The premise of the evening is getting some comedians up on stage and with an ad lib style, they will be asked to define the word "it". Anyone is welcome on stage, time permitting. So please if this sounds exciting to you Grab some friends, and come join us for a night not to be missed. Here is a poster for the night. I hope to see you there. This sticker is circa 1996 with my first shop in Kerrisdale, Vancouver. When I took it over it was called Core. I changed the name to Paul's Boutique within 6 months.
