The INN FOR WOMEN has been in business, serving the community for over 10 years now. People often ask us about who we are and how we came about, so we'd like to share a part of our Story.
The INN FOR WOMEN opened in December of 2015 with three women who served on the Board of SAS (Servant's Anonymous Society). They were Alida Wasmuth, Yvonne Hogenes and Joyce Vandermey.
After having a successful "pop-up" store one weekend on behalf of SAS we realized the potential of what a "secondhand store for women", could be. We put our talk into action and that's how the dream of a "Women's Chic Boutique" became reality.
The INN FOR WOMEN was born and a Retail Storefront was rented and located at 5760-176th Street, in Cloverdale. It became a "go-to" place where women could shop for gently used clothing (and accessories) that were fair and affordable.
In March 2018 Yvonne Hogenes resigned and stepped away from her role part owner of the INN FOR WOMEN. Alida and Joyce continued with 19 dedicated volunteers, who through their shared commitment and compassion, a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork was built among the group over the years.
All the items sold in our Store have been gifted to us and all proceeds are donated to local charities in our community, throughout the year.
We sincerely thank all of our customers and donors for their incredible support throughout the years! Your kindness, encouragement, and thoughtful comments on our page have meant much to us and are deeply appreciated!
