Moses Spinner started the family business in 1908. He traveled throughout Cape Breton selling clothing by horse and buggy. Moses' son, Nathan Spinner assumed ownership of the family business and set up shop in its present location on Charlotte Street in downtown Sydney. Sterling MacVicar started working at Spinners in 1958 and eventually purchased the business in 1983. Maintaining the tradition of
passing the business from father to son, Scott MacVicar purchased the company in 2011 and continues to operate from the same location. We do more than sell shirts, we build relationships. We get to know our customers and the important people in their lives.
