Andrea Gunn of VisitKingston just wrote an article on the Begin Again Group and a ViaRail blogger picked it up. Sales are up! It was a rough year for the project as we could not be together to work but fortunately we had stock in place last Feb and we have resumed fabricating separately at home. Old fashioned piecework.

Happy Women's Day Begin Again Group! We are companions, sharing dreams for ourselves and for our families. Being together is our strength. I am proud of your courage. You remind me of the importance of education, health care and justice in the quality of life for women.

Thank you Kelly Graham. Kelly stayed over at my house and joined me at 7:30 on Sunday morning to help the Begin Again Group set up at the Fat Goose Craft Fair in Kingston. Kelly's support reaches way back to our first few months in 2017. She helped teach fabrication in her usual compassionate manner. She engaged her children to babysit our children when their mothers needed a few free hours to work. Kelly bought, and still uses, one of our first bags. Her post from the Women's Art Festival attracted the attention of Michelle MacShane of Trailhead who purchased a bag and now our bags are for sale at Trailhead. Kelly drove friends to Bon Eco to order custom bags and even provided two quiches for lunch. Thank you Kelly for believing in us and for all you do to support the women of the Bag Project gain confidence to reach their potential. Your support is reflected in the progress we are making. We owe you our deepest gratitude.

So proud of Sanaa's work. She is really advancing her design and fabrication skills. Here is her recent large shoulder tote. Fits a laptop +. It is not easy to make a tire square. Available now at Bon Eco Design in Tamworth.
