Inspired by the 2017 collection “Iris” named after my mother, who always made sure to have a dreamcatcher in our home and our rooms.

Our first dreamers were created in 2017, my mother named one of them OSHKINIGIWIN KINIW which means “Young Eagle” .

Others she named after her Mother, her sisters and her Aunties.

In honour of my mom, who left this earth too soon, I’ve made a few suncatchers that make me think of her.

My mom loved the outdoors and gardening; Nature reminds me of my mom, I sense her in the trees, the flowers and fresh air.

DJODJO , is one of many Algonquin words for Mother.

My mom was proud of where she came from.

Although not originally inspired by my Mother, the first doll I ever made was at my moms kitchen table sitting beside her, laughing and being frustrated at how many shirts I made in a row that didn’t fit. I said nevermind, this tiny sewing isn’t for me. She said take a deep breath try again.

It’s only feels right to create a line up of dolls to honour my beautiful mom.

My sisters and I sent my partner to find the perfect fabric for our mom. The oldest sister was making our Mothers skirt for her journey. My partner came home with the most beautiful fabric that all of us agreed was perfect for our mom. With all colors she loved, scattered with florals and hummingbirds.

The skirts on each of these dolls were made from the same piece of material cut for my Mothers skirt.

Today is her birthday and Sunday is Mother’s Day. I’d give anything to hear her voice one last time.

All shirts can be customized to say Mother in any language, or I would be happy to add any phrase you would like to them.

Oh Snap! I’m excited to bring the camera back! 📸

Inspired by the 1979 Nikon camera my mother gifted me, I had my little sister illustrate it in December 2017, so I could create a tiny toy camera for imaginative play.

The first camera dreamers launched on December 7, 2017.

My mom had a love for photography; she always had a camera with her when she was younger. She captured countless moments—from nature to friends and, of course, her children. We are fortunate to have hundreds of her photographs to cherish. My brother and one of my sisters and I share that same love for photography, and I like to think we inherited it from her. She bought me all of my first cameras. from disposable to Polaroid, point-and-shoot, and several EOS models, including gifting me her Nikon. I still remember crying with joy on my birthday when I unwrapped a Canon that I thought I’d never be able to afford.

I’m really happy to reintroduce this little gem in the shop—it was a fan favorite! With a few upgrades, I hope you’ll love it just as much. 💜

A few weeks ago, I received an email from a business account that said, “Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and this may be a difficult time. Click this button if you would like to silence Mother’s Day emails.” Reading that instantly made me cry. I’ve probably received similar emails in the past, but this one hit differently because this Mother’s Day will be my first without my mom. It also happens to fall on the same weekend as her birthday and mine—her birthday is on the 9th, mine is on the 10th, and Mother’s Day is on the 11th. I know this weekend will be incredibly emotional for me.

In light of my sadness, I’ve decided to find some joy by reopening my shop in honor of my mother. I will release all of my past pieces that were inspired by her, along with a few new creations that reflect my grieving journey. Everything will be available on her birthday, May 9, at 8 AM EST. Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing photos of the pieces that will be available, along with their original release dates and the inspiration behind each one. My sisters will also be contributing by creating a small collection of their own pieces to honor our mom.
