Costumes N Designs by Heather opened in September of 1992, first located in Tilbury under the name of 'Crafts by Heather'. Heather got her beginning about five years earlier, in 1987, designing and fabricating custom fit wedding attire, including bridal gowns; fabricating kids clothing & costumes; fabricating heritage costumes and any other need a customer might have! After the establishment of Co
stumes N Designs in the town of Tilbury, Heather re-located her business to her home, where she had her beginning, and further expanded her inventory of Halloween costumes, exited from the wedding industry, and fully entered the world of Dance & Figure Skating! After about 12 years at home, Heather decided to move her business back to town, this time around, in Chatham. She used the opportunity to start stocking and selling dance shoes, including point shoes, as well as a more sophisticated selection of high end designer dancewear. Heather has more recently moved Costumes N Designs back to her home in order to offer a greater selection and to expand her fabrication abilities. Currently, Heather had "retooled" her shop to design and produce scrub caps and masks to help in the prevention of and protection from the spread of COVID19.
