It's been a while since we've updated you all on the status of the store. First, we want to sincerely apologize for the long period without any news—and even for not reaching out during the holidays. I personally feel guilty for not making that effort, and I’m truly sorry.

These past few months have been an incredibly difficult time for myself and my family, both financially and mentally. The sudden shutdown and destruction of our business hit us very hard—we never saw it coming. We miss all of you: our loyal customers and our downtown family of local businesses, including Lemongrass /Mi Casa’s Pantry, timmins bazzar, Sweet Freez and Altered Reality to name a few, Please go see Mike at Altered Reality as they prepare to close their doors for good—he will truly be missed by all of us.

As for an update, sadly we are still at a standstill. The building remains in major disrepair and has gotten worse throughout the winter. We are hoping to recover some of our losses once everything is financially settled, but at this time we don’t have a clear timeline.

When that day comes, we hope to find a new location where we can reopen—whether that means bringing back both our used clothing and Build-A-Buddy, or starting with one part and growing from there. Right now, everything is still uncertain.

I won’t keep you much longer, but we felt it was important to reach out. We truly appreciate your continued support—whether through thoughts, prayers, or simply staying connected with us. Some of you have asked how else you can help; while we’re not asking for anything right now, we’re always open to hearing from you if you feel led to reach out.”

Hello everyone,

we are just writing a quickish message to say that we did not forget about you, we are thinking of all our loyal customers and miss you all, its been a very challenging time for our family threwout this entire ordeal, we atll have very little news in regards of the future of the building of our store front, we are hopefull that we will be able to reopen sometime in the summer, although that is still unknown.

Although, we did hear back from our insurance in regards of content of our business including build a buddy gift shop, its still a lengthy process and emotionally challenging, but we are in the process of filling up the paperwork to hopefully get some much needed financial help for our family and the future of our business.

We will update you as we start to see movement, we hope to see you in store again with the same amazing selection of clothing along with new items, only part we cant recover sadly is the personalised books, all inventory has been destroyed and might be to difficult to replace, and a large portion of our selections we had is no longer available and irreplaceable....

In a final note, I do hope that tou are stil with us and thank you for not unfollowing our page, we do ask you for your continued prayers and thoughts till we get threw this challenge

⚠️ UPDATE....IF YOU CALL IT THAT... ⚠️

I figured we'd update you all, sadly we still have yet to get an answer from our insurance, which means we have no money to open elswhere or even concider that option, sadly this has also effected our Build a Buddy Gift Shop and our craft show appearances, out insurance informed us a couple weeks ago we should be hearing from them soon, but seems soon to them is subjective, for the building owner for the repairs, they also have yet to hear from their insusurance.

we do ask you to continue your support and pleas don't unfollow us, we need more support then ever before, continue to keep us in ur thoughts and prayers.

Just to let everyone know, this No Tresspassing sign applies to us as well so there is no one at the store to recieve any donations. The building is still considered unsafe for entry.
At this time we still are not certain of the future of our store.
Please do not leave any donations outside our door! It will just end up being spread all over the sidewalk by people going through the bags themselves. We are not at the store as we are not allowed to be at the store.
This is not our picture, it was sent to us by someone who happened to be in the area so I have no idea what happened to the donation bags after this photo was taken.

Dear valued customers and supporters

We are writing to update you on the current status of our business. Unfortunately, there has been very little movement on our insurance claim, We are awaiting further information regarding the availability of funds to replace lost business, office supplies, inventory, and other essentials. Once we have numbers to work with, we will begin exploring alternative locations until the owner's plans for our current location are clarified.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. Please be assured that we are committed to rebuilding our business, although the timeline is currently uncertain. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to serving you again soon.

We miss you all and would like to express our gratitude to each of you for your patronage since we took over. We will provide further updates as it becomes available to us.

⚠️ UPDATE ⚠️

Our insurance company went to the store to take photos, so that process has started, at this time we are waiting for the outcome of our insurance claim, hopefully we get the max which would cover most of what was lost and potential look into reopening somewhere els, we do ask for continued prayers and positive vibes as we are finding this unexpected change very difficult to swallow, we are staying as positive as we can 🙂

On another note, for Build a Buddy Gift Shop, we are normaly at the moutntjoy arena for the timmins fall fair, sadly this year due to our machine being behind inaccessible doors and most of our inventory potentialy destroyed, for the first time in over 10 years, sadly with a heavy heart we Wil not be able to attend this year, this is not news we wanted to share as we are not only taking a major financial hit but we cannot host our yearly teddybear picnics.

Despite this, it's far from the end, we will return bigger and better next year for our regular events and hopefully in the near future for our store, and as hard as it is for myself to see the good in this at this time, we will come out stronger and this cannot be done without all of you, our customers, frends, family and the community as a whole.

Sadly there is still no tangible news to share, apparently the engineers did visit the property as far as I've been told, waiting for the results to see if we can re-enter, please keep us in your prayers and thoughts, a long journey ahead of us.

⚠️ STORE UPDATE ⚠️

Hello everyone, I decided to provide you all updates as it comes.

as of yesterday, we cannot access the building till a structural engineer deems it safe, the damage to the store is quite extensive on both our main floor and our basement.

We will be collecting whatever items we can once we are cleared to enter, then it will be up to the property owner to start on the repairs, once that's done we will hopefully be back for a second time around, as the cost and time to re-establish ourselves is currently unknown, we don't have a time period.

We do ask for your prayers and thoughts as we are still at a loss of what to even think, your support both in prayers and thought will be appreciated.

Please feel free to reach out to us anytime, we will miss you all and looking forward to serving you once our doors will be open for business once again.
