Meet Your Seamstress.
The face behind the sewing machine. Hi everyone, I’m Danielle, the founder and creative force behind Sew A Little.
By day, I work as an operating room nurse, where precision and attention to detail are crucial, and I bring that same level of care into every stitch I sew. By night and weekends, you’ll usually find me at my sewing machine creating, altering, and bringing your ideas to life.
Sewing started as a pastime over 30 years ago, making small projects for myself. My mom bought me my first sewing machine when I was in high school. With small kids and many activities, the machine went on a shelf, and I thought I would never use it again.
As my kids grew and needing less attention, I started making things again, such as curtains, blankets, and alterations for family and friends. This quickly grew into something much more. I take great pleasure in helping people feel confident in their clothing, whether it’s the perfect fit for a wedding dress, a custom scrub cap, or everyday alterations. I have also made memory pillows, bears, bunnies with loved ones clothing. Something very rewarding and special to provide comfort in times of grief and loss.
When I’m not working or sewing, I’m happiest outside, snowmobiling, walking, biking, or just sitting and enjoying the outdoors and everything nature has to offer.
Thank you for supporting my small business, trusting me with your pieces, and being part of this journey. It truly means the world to me.
Custom. Careful. Made with love.
Danielle, Sew A Little.
