Nigeria trip dump: looks edition
Having my phone stolen really took the thunder out of my vacation but I mustered some energy to enjoy the rest of my time and document what I could.

Yes, I’m wearing the heck out of this dress.
This dress is so incredibly sensual yet unassuming that when I tried it on, I just knew I had to shoot it in Ibadan. While I glammed myself up a bit, you could literally wear it with a denim jacket, no makeup, and a scarf and you’d still be stylish af, easily. It’s such a quiet celebration of impeccable style . I wouldn’t have missed this opportunity to place it in that grounded Ibadan energy I have fallen in love with, for the world. It was one of my favorite moments of this trip to Nigeria.

I’ve been serving maternity fashion hits back to back. Y’all have also been receiving it with so much enthusiasm. Tysm 🥰.

I’ve loved fashion since I was a child and I’m so thankful it’s played such an important role in my life. My journey to becoming a mom has come with a lot of growth and glow up. Being able to express this through fashion is really special for me.
Every time I look at these photos, I’m going to remember the state of mind I’ve had to cultivate to stay healthy mind, soul and body so that I can give this new person the best possible chance at life.
I’m hopeful, confident, trusting of myself, eager to learn. I’m content. I’m full. ❤️❤️❤️

Tysm everyone on the love you showed the reel for this look yesterday 😅. It made me feel like an Orisa. 🤍

Now let me tell you a bit about the photos… The way I’d imagined this look was more golden-brown toned with sunset lighting. I wanted something with a contemplative mood. But when that morning sun came out for me, she came bright and happy with the right intensity. The sky too brought the prettiest and crispest blue as backdrop. Suddenly the soft white outfit made complete sense- it was always meant to be light, airy, playful and memorable. May more of our days feel like this. Ase!🤍💡🔆☀️😎

Spreading beauty aggressively this Monday morning ✨✨✨.

Y’all are enjoying my maternity fashion and honestly, so am I.
I was always the one to ask myself and everyone what we’re gonna wear to any occasion. Being pregnant was no different.

Once I found out, I started moodboarding how I wanted to look, because I knew I wanted to celebrate my body and style even after the bump became evident.
Culturally, it’s a time when women go into hiding but I chose not to. Was I afraid? A little. Did I consider superstitious beliefs? Briefly. However, I knew deep down inside that I wouldn’t be happy if I lived from a place of inhibition and/or fear. While those aren’t the only reasons people don’t share, those where the ones I was familiar with, and they didn’t align with my heart.

So here I am, living life on my terms and being happy with my choice to document my maternity looks. I will even model for brands, should I get the opportunity. See as I set I no fit waste o. 🤣
Shoutout to , etc for the soft landing. Morning sickness, nosebleeds, varicose veins, swollen feet, come what may, we baddies 4EVA. 🔥
