so i was one of the first people to see Coyote vs. ACME in the WORLD last night???
if you don’t know the story of this movie’s struggle to get released, the phrase “development hell” is an understatement. after being fully filmed, edited, and animated, not only did the studio who initially backed this movie not want to release it, they wanted to DESTROY it.
i was one of the folks yelling and posting about how badly i wanted this movie to see the light of day and i am so so SO glad it got the release it deserved. seriously, im not sponsored to say any of this, i literally had planned to see this movie opening night at my local theatre because i was that hyped.
if you love looney tunes, if you love animation, if you love drama, comedy, movies with a lot of heart… you gotta get your butts in seats and go support this movie!! don’t think “ah maybe i’ll see it when it comes to digital” GO. TO. THE. THEATRE.
if you want more good, human-made movies made by cast and crews that love what they do and love to create, go support coyote vs acme so we can get more movies like this!!!
okay, off my soapbox now to talk more about last night. we got a full q&a with will forte and lana condor, which was SUCH a pleasant surprise and gave us so much insight into the movie’s production and story. i always feel weird when im invited to events like this because i dont consider myself an “influencer” in that traditional “picture perfect” sense. at the end of the day im a weird nerd that makes weird nerd stuff in my basement, but im so grateful Allied Global Marketing and VVS Films saw this nerd and extended me an invite to such an amazing night. thank you endlessly 🥹
go see when it releases in theatres next friday and come yap with me about it once you have, ok??
