After some thought, I've decided to pause my etsy shop and currently have it in vacation mode. This is until the controversy over "Alligator Alcatraz" merchandise is resolved. I understand etsy may have removed or blocked all such merch but, the real controversy was their reported threat to close or block accounts of anyone on etsy who objected to the merchandise (which, bluntly, was rather objectionable and not the best manifestation of the entrepreneurial spirit). I may also try and find the time to look for alternatives to etsy, as there is talk of a boycott...

Save the date! It's that time of year and Harobed Designs will be selling some of our craft items at the St. Michael's and All Angels Christmas Art Market (on St. Clair Ave West in Toronto). There will be a wide range of vendors, so this is an excellent way to come out and shop local for the holidays.

As they say, it's later than you think! So much so, we're gearing up for the Christmas Art Market again. Taking place in Toronto, December 1 and 2. Friday, December 1, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At St. Michael's and All Angels on St Clair West. A great opportunity to come out and support local artisans and artists. See you there!

Just added a new item to the One-and-Only Wearables section of my etsy shop. An unlined black silk noil A-line swing jacket with decorative motifs in a color scheme inspired by Mother Nature: Oriental Poppies in scarlet and lilac. Silk noil is an incredibly lightweight fabric that is hand washable. Check it out!
