On a regular circumstances my parents and sister would be here, like many other times before when we opened clothing stores back home.
But life had other plans for all of us. Nine years ago I left my natal country Venezuela.
Came to Canada, forgetting my previous life, working in different industries to live the day by day in a new country.
In 2016, I got back to the fashion industry, when I went to work with Nordstrom with a very broken English for fashion terminology. (My friends will say broken English altogether) (still broken today lol 😂) .
After exactly one year, my parents came to visit and basically made me quit. They made all the arrangements to open a corporation… and they left me with a piece of paper with a number on it
Short after, I decided to restart on the clothing business and brought one suitcase with exactly 100 pieces. I will never forget that first customer from Facebook and all the people who knowing me or not came to my unit in Liberty Village.
Let me short this… 😂. Pop-ups started, winnings, loses, a divorce, a pandemic, work, work ,work …
…. To get to this day, the day I can say I have a piece of what I left in Venezuela 9 years ago.
Thanks Toronto for everything you have given to me, and I extend my appreciation to so many people who helped me in so many different ways to be here.
And now , back to work ✌🏼😊
