Our name comes from the Marula tree which is native to Southern Africa and is also known as the elephant tree and the tree of life. Our belief is that if we as individuals live a healthy, sustainable, conscious and co
nscientious existence, all of us, the planet and all life on it will achieve this realization. It is all too clear that we have we have drifted far from the realization of this true nature and it can easily been seen by observing the impact we have had on ourselves, the planet and the life we share with it. So we set out to create a brand of clothing and accessories that not only look and feel great to wear but also raise awareness of the impact we have had, get people talking and do something to change it. Our beliefs for an extraordinary quality of life and well-being;
Health – What we do to the planet and the life on it we do to ourselves and what we do to ourselves we do to the planet and the life on it. If as individuals our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is in a state of well-being and the health of the planet and the life on it is in a state of well-being we will naturally take care of each other. From what we eat, to what we drink, the land we live on, how we travel, the energy we use to the clothes we wear and everything in-between, we are always consuming. Just as if we eat or drink too much of something we become unhealthy and then lack abundance, the same applies to our planet and the life on it. By consuming in a sustainable way by not taking more then we need and minimizing our impact when we do, we can increase health and abundance for ourselves, the planet and the life on it. Conscious – Increasing our awareness and perception of the state of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual world is vital to living an extraordinary quality of life and being in a state of well-being. Without knowing our own condition we can’t seek to improve it and by increasing our perception we further become aware of the world live in and how it and its state affect us and how we affect it. Conscientious – Everything action we take and intention we have directly influences us and the world around us in either a positive or negative way. By being aware of our actions and intentions and the impact they have, we can take steps to ensure that they have a positive outcome for us, the planet and the life on it. Our Designs
All of our designs are meant to not only look and feel great to wear but also tell a story and often not a very good one of the impact we have made on ourselves, the planet and the life on it but one that can be changed. So all of our designs incorporate data visualizations to illustrate the impact we have made and support people and organizations dedicated to changing the impact they describe in a positive way. We spend a portion of our proceeds on those people and organizations because we believe by contributing to their well-being we are contributing to our well-being which only leads to an extraordinary quality of life. Our Logo
For our logo we chose the mighty elephant. We believe it is a perfect symbol of the raw power, beauty, gentleness, balance and intelligence of nature but also the unconscious and reckless abuse, waste and cruelty at the hands of us through rampant poaching, hunting and habitat destruction. The elephant and its habitats plight is an all too common one for countless other species and habitats on the planet, including our own. Our Goal
To be physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually healthy and experience this planet and the life on it the same way, raw and untouched, the way it was truly intended to be. Free from any unnatural threats such as poaching, hunting and habitat destruction. Be it Polar bears hunting in an icy cold harsh Arctic or Tigers prowling in dense Siberian forests and tropical jungles. Be it giant ancient Redwood trees towering into the sky or whales and sharks roaming the depths of the oceans. Or perhaps be it great birds of prey soaring amongst the clouds or a herd of powerful bull African elephants in their prime on the African savannah, grazing next to a Marula Grove. This would truly be to live an extraordinary quality of life and be in a state of well-being.
