Hi friends, I have had a few last minute openings in my Hat Bar sessions this weekend!

If you fancy making a new spring bonnet, come and join me!

This 90 mins activity is so much fun - you will design and customize your own, Canadian-Made, premium felt hat with luxe trims such as silks, leathers, and feathers.

Everything is provided for you, and I will be there to guide and help you! I’ve designed the workshop so that no experience is required, the only thing to bring is a smile and creative spirit.

Topper Tuesday is still days away, but that’s ok because it’s also Sunday Funday. 🍸

Sometimes, a snowy afternoon in the middle of winter just calls for a cheeky little Edwardian riding topper - inspired number! 😘

I still have to create the silk lining and sew it inside this fine dandy, but she’ll be ready to ship in just a few days!

I blocked this flared crown and brim on vintage blocks, using a gorgeous, European-made, millinery fur felt in a plush, velour finish. I trimmed her with a dollop of black toque feathers, pinched, 3” grosgrain bow and veil.

Pair this with a tweed blazer, jeans and tall leather boot for a dandy, equestrian inspired look, or your favourite LBD for cocktails night out.

It’s Wide Brim Wednesday! Well, it’s been a minute since I’ve had some quality time at my workbench, and so I thought I would make a small batch of one of my best selling designs - the fedora I made for A Simple Favour - a fantastic, easy to wear, bold crown and sweeping brimmed number. This is a personal favourite Saucy Milliner Original to both create and wear.

If you are considering a new hat for adventuring and mischief making in, this spring, this is a fabulous fedora to accompany you on all of your merry escapades!

I will be taking 3 pre-orders for a late April dispatch. Just drop me a line on [email protected], if you would like to order one custom made for your head size (21.5” - 22.5”).

A bold crown and sweeping brim, this hat is made in a gorgeous and versatile shade of a lavender based grey. I use a beautiful, velour finish, European made fur felt, specially made for couture millinery, and it’s trimmed in a duo of tonal, metallic leather strips, which I cut and sew by hand.

$398 CAD plus shipping, unless you prefer to collect it at the shop.

Hat Bar date night? Bring your beau or your bestie and have a fun evening (or afternoon!) of customizing your own, premium, Canadian Made felt hat. 🇨🇦♥️🎩

I’ll be hosting 6pm time sessions for up to 4 participants on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Haturday, of this week!

All materials are provided, just bring your head and your hat love!

Cost is $277 and includes all materials - hat and trim.

Spring will soon be here (or soon, anyway, lol) so why not start the season off with your own, beautiful, unique hat? ✨

The hats come in 4 sizes and go from 55cm - 61cm. If you aren’t sure of your head size, drop me a line. Hats will be adjusted to the best fit possible, if you are in between sizes.

I’ve been making hats for 20 years, and I find that one of the funnest parts of the process is designing and assembling the trim - so come and join me in creating your own, unique style statement, doing exactly that ~ no experience required!

4 spots per session available, and are first come. There will not be walk-in appointments available during these sessions, please email to secure your spot. A non-refundable deposit of $25 per spot will be charged at the time of booking.

A trio of newly finished Saucy Straws gaze out of my frosted window, awaiting the arrival of warmer, springtime days.

Friends! It’s been a wee spell since I have posted Saucy Milliner creations, ready for shipping, but I am only now just getting back to my workbench, after a two month hiatus for the Winter Village busy period.

It felt SO wonderful to spend this past week blocking and trimming these three, lovely, Panama straws - all of which I made into elegant, and easy to wear, cloche hats. All 3 suit a 21.75” - 22” head size.

To celebrate my overdue return to my workbench, I am offering these hats, at $248 plus $25 special flat rate shipping.

There are two Bonnet Cloches - one in a natural colour, fine weave Panama, trimmed with a delightfully fresh, light pink, vintage grosgrain, which looks so Spring-y and crisp next to the beautiful, natural colour straw. The Bonnet Cloche has fabulous cover in the front, and is shallower at the back, to allow for ease of movement. The second is in a mauvey taupe fine weave Panama, trimmed with a tonal vintage 2” grosgrain. Both gorgeous, neutral colours that you will reach for again and again, throughout the spring and summer season.

The other cloche is a symmetrical, 2” brim, which I trimmed with a cheeky, narrow, vintage grosgrain - also in the light pink. It’s just such a lovely, fresh combination! The straw is crochet woven in the crown for added ventilation and delightful, eye catching texture.

Friends, the boutique is closed today due to the nasty winter storm. They’ve shut down some of the DVP because there are so many accidents, so please be safe out there. The shop will re-open tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you there!
