What an incredible experience at Toronto Tech Week!

AVL was proud to showcase African fashion alongside NdeipiCoin at Toronto Tech Week, sharing our vision at the intersection of fashion and technology.

We had meaningful conversations, made valuable connections, and shared how technology can transform fashion into ownership, identity, and assets.

This coming Saturday, Silent Scream Foundation will be embarking on a Mental Health Awareness Walk in Tamale to promote conversations around mental health and encourage community support and understanding.

As the sister organization and proud supporter of Silent Scream Foundation, AVL stands with this important initiative as we continue to support efforts focused on advocacy, awareness, and community impact.

We are committed to creating mental health awareness, breaking the stigma surrounding mental health challenges, and reminding people that no one has to struggle in silence.

Silent Scream Foundation led a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Awareness program at Tamale Technical University on March 12, 2026. The sessions focused on understanding mental health, supporting others with empathy, and the risks of substance misuse, including over-the-counter medications. In collaboration with the Ghana AIDS Commission, students also learned how to use HIV self-testing kits. The program was interactive, well-received, and ended with plans for a larger future session, along with a media interview to further promote mental health awareness. AVL proudly supports this impactful initiative and its mission to promote well-being and break the stigma around mental health.

Sustainable youth development requires more than programs. It requires systems.

In the Sagnarigu District of Tamale, AVL Fashion is working in strategic partnership with the National Youth Authority (NYA) to strengthen how youth-focused initiatives are coordinated, planned, and implemented.

Rather than operating as a standalone organization, AVL serves as a liaison between NYA and grassroots NGOs — helping align community-driven projects with district priorities, improve collaboration, and ensure structured implementation.

This approach focuses on:

• Reducing duplication of efforts
• Strengthening communication between government and civil society
• Supporting resource mobilization and accountability
• Elevating youth leadership and skills development

When institutions and local organizations move in alignment, impact becomes more sustainable.

Building strong youth systems today lays the foundation for long-term economic opportunity, entrepreneurship, and community resilience in Tamale and beyond.
