I've been busy.

11 is the total number of people who went through any kind of session with me as of the end of January. 234 is that same number (so far) on the books to the end of June. While I learn and grow with every session, I really feel like I'm onto something over here.

I am absolutely gutted by the humanitarian crisis happening in India right now. Non-existent infrastructure and corrupt and malevolent leadership have resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths across the sub-continent. People are suffering horribly and dying badly. I'm sending love, support and resources to my beloved Bharat Mata and I'm desperately hoping for the safety of my brothers and sisters and aunties and uncles. Please help if you can. ❤️

Spent last week prepping our cottage for sale. We don't get to use it that much because it's so far away. I've been fortunate enough in my life to visit some pretty sacred spaces out in the world, but this place holds my heart like no other. It was a challenging week but I'm thrilled with results and I think the photos show a home that is is really beautiful and really loved. And it has been an amazing spot to display some of my most prized beautiful bits of India. I love the juxtaposition of rich Indian fabrics with the rustic woodsiness of the house. It's bittersweet to pass it along to another family, but it's the right thing to do at this time. I will always be profoundly grateful for the nine years we were together.

End of an era.
Ten years ago, my now-husband (swipe right to see a few snaps of our June 6th COVID-conscious wedding) moved to India so I could work on an international public health project. That move set in motion a series of decisions, adventures, friendships, philosophies, careers, and aspirations that continue to inform, impact, and alter my life in countless ways for the better.
Apart from my tours, my import business has been the major focus of my work life for 9 years. I have tried, over those years, to run a small business with integrity, personality, a sense of purpose and community, which benefitted my makers, suppliers, supporters, and colleagues. And I feel very happy and proud of what I accomplished. Anmol helped people, sold rad stuff, and gave me a joyous life of adventure. In a lot of ways, it seems impossible that time has flown by so fast, especially when I scroll through the squares on this account and reminisce about what got accomplished.
I have been talking for a while about changing gears. And yesterday, I did just that. On Father's Day, I happily sold my entire inventory to a wonderful couple who own and . Michelle and Kevin are passionate entrepreneurs, who are socially and environmentally conscious, and committed to their community. They also share my love of India, recognize the need to maintain sustainable and equitable trade, and have willingly agreed to maintain relationships with my beloved suppliers (an important element in the transaction about which I am especially thrilled.)
Please follow and shop at . Your support and encouragement with allow Michelle and Kevin to carry on the relationships I have nurtured all these years, and turn this business into their very own .
And to all of you shoppers, supporters, friends, and family, a million and one thanks for your dedication over the years. I couldn't have done ANY of this without you. I will maintain my deep and abiding connection to India, and will return to her shores as soon as circumstances permit. Dhanyavad ❤️
