Zawadi Accessories

Zawadi Accessories Accessories created from hand made traditional African fabrics. They are often exchanged as gifts between women that include encouraging sayings on each fabric.

Connecting with our Tanzanian roots we've created urban day fashion accessories using traditional African fabrics. A "khanga" is a traditional African dressing for women and can be used for different occasions such as daily house duties and formal occasions like funerals and weddings. Zawadi is the Kiswahili translation for a gift or present. Each fabric is different, unique and comes with its own

message among vibrant colours and eye-catching patterns. Let each piece connect you to African culture and roots while looking fashion forward. In creating these accessories we've been granted an opportunity to connect with our roots in Africa and share them with others through fashion.

The Exhibit Africa Fashion show was the official launch to Zawadi!
It was held at Pero Restaurant in downtown Toronto where we teamed up with Gems of Africa and had a fun, successful night!
