Every Wayuu bag is more than an accessory – it’s a work of art with centuries of tradition.
Handwoven by women from the indigenous Wayuu community in the Guajira Peninsula of northern Colombia and part of Venezuela, each bag carries a piece of their culture.

The vibrant patterns — called kanaasü — tell stories, represent dreams, and express the identity of the artisan who made it.

🧵 How they’re made:

1. Thread selection – strong, colorful fibers are chosen.
2. Body weaving – crocheted with tight stitches for durability.
