Our Social Fabric -Textile Recycling Initiative

Our Social Fabric is a non-profit Vancouver group that helps recycle excess fabric from manufacturers, the movie industry, and more.

Our Social Fabric is a 100% volunteer-run non-profit group based in Vancouver, BC. Since 2009, OSF's locations divert unused “waste” textiles from the landfill. We accept donations of unwanted fabric (and related materials) from designers, manufacturers, the film industry and individuals. We sell these materials to Greater Vancouver’s creative community for 10-20% of its original retail price. All

New in: Pima Cotton Rib Knit.

Pima cotton uses long cotton fibres, which results in an ultra-soft fabric. Pima cotton is known for its unusual softness, silkier fibres, and smooth fabric compared with regular cotton.

These rib knits have a subtle ribbed texture and both sides of this knit fabric look identical. It is highly elastic and retains its shape well.

This new arrival can be used for cuffs and neckbands but it can also be used to create lightweight, form-fitting garments like t-shirts, tanks, and bodysuits. It is great for layering pieces or garments worn close to the skin, thanks to its softness and drape.

Summer Crepe is here!

Crepe is known for its soft, slightly textured surface and fluid drape. Because it’s made with tightly twisted yarns, it has a gentle crinkled texture and gorgeous movement that works especially well for garments that flow and skim the body.
