Thanks to you all for the help and support over the years.

Folks in the community have given us so much love in many ways. Whether it was a way to stop a step from sliding around or just letting us know of possible machinery we might need.

The first time Tim walked in, he'd just driven by and noticed the shop. That was four pairs of boots ago.

He was one of our first customers. But somewhere between the measuring and the making, he became a friend. That's the part they don't tell you about this work — the boots get people through the door, but it's everything else that keeps them coming back.

These are his fourth pair. Black shark and chromexcel, zipper boot. The shark on the toe cap and quarters —we increased the cap toe to highlight the shark leather. We opted to go without the buckle off for the same reason. We didn't want the leather to be hidden behind the buckle.

When Tim picked them up, he brought a bottle of whiskey. We shared a cigar. That's Tim.

Before Davoud cuts a single panel, he looks at the whole hide. He reads every hide before ever picking up a tool, whether it is cut from smooth leather like chromexcel or bison with all its grain and texture.

The grain on bison is never the same twice — some bold and wide open, others tight and intricate. Every panel is chosen and cut deliberately. The Chelsea one piece vamp gets the larger grain — where the leather becomes part of the design. The Oxford gets the finer grain pattern — the shoe already has its own architecture with many panels, the leather completes it rather than competes with it.
No two pairs will ever look the same. Each piece is unique and built with an artisan's eye and a craftman’s hands.
