exactly 5 years ago, when I posted my first handmade clay jewelry piece to sell with no plan in mind, it was meant to be something temporary—to help financially support my family during a tough time. I often get asked at pop-ups what “mieuon” means - it’s the muon subatomic particle (pronounced as myoo-on) with more vowels added because every other Instagram username I could think of was taken 😆 it’s crazy how a name that felt so insignificant at the time has now made its way into the lives of thousands of people.
today marks half a DECADE of made by mieuon 🥹 in other words, 5 years of making jewelry in my bedroom 🎂 running this little shop has completely changed my life—beyond supporting my family it has given me a sense of fulfillment and purpose, and has allowed me to pursue a childhood dream of sharing my artwork with the world. my heart is filled with so much gratitude.
and of course, none of this would have been possible without all of you reading this!!! thank you for sharing my work with your friends, family, colleagues+more to help spread the word. thank you to those who have stopped by my shelf at . thank you for coming to my pop-ups, no matter where they are (special shoutout to those who come facetiming their partners so they can shop 🤳). thank you to my day 1s who met me at the community centre parking lot during covid for pickups. and thank you to everyone in between, whether you just found my shop today or 5 years ago, are browsing for your first order or have a whole collection of my pieces, i appreciate you more than you know 🌟 thank you for continuously supporting me, and my work, so I could come this far and make my 2020 self very proud 🥹
