Sold exclusively at Jackson's General in Vancouver, BC. My name is Heather Munn and I am the founder of Handmade Hats for Humanity. I am the mother of 2 adult children and 4 fur kids. I live on the North Shore with my husband Colin. I discovered my love of knitting a few years ago after a sports injury left me couch bound for a few months. It was a great way to pass the time, and be creative! I st
arted making hats for friends and family and loved making each hat as unique as the person who wears it. That is where this whole idea started. I am surrounded by an amazing knitting community here in Vancouver who have lovingly lent a helping hand with this project. This year ALL profits are going directly to the community of Botshibelo in South Africa. Botshibelo is a home of refuge for children and families effected by HIV/AIDS and poverty. My daughter has been working closely with this community for the last 9 years and this year she has been unable to put on her big fundraising event due to to the restrictions brought on by the pandemic. Communities like Botshibelo have been even more greatly effected due to the hardships brought on by Covid-19. It is my hope that you love these hats as much as we love making them. All hats are hand knit using a high quality, wool blend yarn which is extremely soft, durable, and washable. There are many styles and colours to choose from. Our hats are currently being sold exclusively at Jacksons General store. Jackson's General specializes in local brands and speciality goods with a vested interested in sustainability and community, located at 1490 Kingsway in Vancouver, BC. May your heads be as warm as your hearts,
- Heather
