I remember going through all the different jewelry phases of the 2000’s. The chokers, the puka shell necklace; the statement turquoise necklaces (which my daughter has in her dress up drawer still); rose gold everything; white gold everything; minimalist pieces or none at all. Throughout all those trends, I always was drawn back to items that felt more timeless (maybe not the puka shell necklaces or the massive statement necklaces) but always items thsr hinted toward vintage lines or classic silhouettes.
When Ava May was only our pipe dream, that became our sounding board: is it classic, is it something we would still want to wear 10 years from now? And here we are, almost two years since we went live to all of you, and we still reach for everything, knowing we'll wear it daily. And that’s how we want our pieces to be enjoyed- worn and loved every day.
Maybe you’re not a jewelry person, or it doesn’t even cross your mind… but we love it. We love the way it enhances you; draws intrigue to you; compliments any outfit (including your sweats). We love that jewelry can be symbolic for important days, represent special people and can be passed along to share your story.
