Our neighbour Carol Mcquaid Art is an Eastside Culture Crawl 2016 featured artist in The Georgia Straight! The Crawl takes place Nov 17-20 with over 475 Vancouver artist studios open to the public. We're saddened to hear of the passing of the innovative and visionary architect, Zaha Hadid (Zaha Hadid Architects). We admired the iconic buildings she designed, and I was excited at the chance of having a touch of her work in my wardrobe some years ago. These are the shoes she designed in collaboration with Melissa shoes. Fluid asymmetry on plastic wedges. I loved the silver and the black versions but the purple really grabbed me at the time. A surprise gift from Mr Mitmunk; both of us are always on the lookout for work that pushes our imagination and inspires us to create better work, as Dame Zaha Hadid's did. The Iraqi-British architect was the first woman to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize and the first individual woman to receive the Royal Gold Medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Both Optimus Prime and Megatron designs were based on the original 1980s TRANSFORMERS box art by Jeff Mangiat and other artists.
