STORY TIME 📖
Sometimes our designs are the result of careful mulling and thought. Other times the idea just comes BOOM into my head. No warning. Always bad timing (like… two days before a photoshoot). Let’s call it Impulse Design. Like impulse shopping, but you have to make the thing you want.
In this instance, I had a terrible creative craving for an espresso and periwinkle embroidered varsity jacket. In wool. With leather. And western yokes.
We already had a stunning jacket designed and sampled. We didn’t need another. It didn’t make sense.
I didn’t care.
Favours were called in from both our fabric supplier and embroidery artist to rush rush rush. Periwinkle piping was obtained. A yet-unused roll of pale blue tencel satin was dug out from our storage.
