After months of development, our first collection of dadafunk headwear officially launches.

Designed as modern golf caps made for wear on and off the course - focused on premium materials, understated design, long-term durability, and everyday comfort.

For this collection, we partnered with Tristar Headwear, a family-owned Vancouver manufacturer with roots dating back to 1972.

Founded by Kantilal Kuber after immigrating to Canada from Uganda, Tristar was built on generations of tailoring knowledge, technical sewing expertise, and an uncompromising approach to craftsmanship.

building a company is strange. nobody warns you how good the highs feel, or how close the lows sit right behind them.

3 years building dadafunk. lately i really haven’t felt like myself. and i think that’s okay to say out loud.

so next thursday i’m getting on a plane, back to the islands where a big part of this brand was born.

back to the factories. the makers. the people behind what we make.

there’s something about being on the ground, seeing materials come to life, understanding the hands behind every step.

it reminds me of sports. the repetition. the precision. the details no one sees but make all the difference.

but it’s also messy, human, imperfect. and that’s the part of life i’m missing these days.

whether all this works or not, these kinds of experiences are the ones that stay with you.

so i’m going back to reconnect with that, and to share more of it this time.

i’m also bringing my pops. his first time in asia. a fish out of water.

maybe it inspires you to try our product. maybe it sparks something of your own. or maybe it’s just a reminder to take that adventure with someone important.
