Introducing the Red Handed SnapBack by legendary graffiti pioneer and hip-hop trailblazer Dedos, brought to you by Nomadic Alternatives Media.
Dedos is a foundational force in Canadian hip hop—graffiti/b-boy pioneer from Vancouver’s streets, core member of infamous AA Crew, and founding dancer/popper/breakdancer in the iconic Rascalz crew that shook the industry and sparked the 1998 Juno protest. From bombing walls to popping on stage, his roots define the culture. Cop the cap. Rep the legacy.

This mural was created to foster cross-cultural solidarity and collaboration, with a focus on amplifying Indigenous voices and centring women in a neighbourhood defined by profound resilience.
Depicting three women as living embodiments of care, creativity, and survival, the work stands in solidarity with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people, serving as both a space for remembrance and a beacon of hope.
At its core, the mural narrates a powerful story of resistance, dignity, and collective belonging.
Located in one of the city's most historically layered and contested areas, its placement is deliberate: it creates women-led visibility in spaces where such narratives have frequently been marginalized or erased.
As a cultural anchor, the mural asserts memory, presence, and community sovereignty within the public sphere.
