The Handpresso is revolutionary in its design and the way it functions, it is able to extract a high quality pressure brewed espresso accurately extracting the flavour profile, unique characteristics and texture of the coffee virtually anywhere. The end quality product far exceeds any other portable type espresso brewer being that the pressure is derived fr
om the hand (bicycle style) pump and not from steam pressure also allowing one to brew espresso with preheated water stored in a thermos for a quick on the go coffee. I have been in the coffee business (specifically commercial espresso machines) for the last 14 years and an avid adventurer my entire life. When I first saw this machine I was sceptical but upon testing it was immediately impressed with the design and solid construction of the unit. In November 2009 I field tested the Handpresso on a weeklong solo kayak trip North of Tofino around Flores Island, I thought that the outdoor crowd would be my main demographic but after a year of good sales (almost 1000) it turns out most of these units have been sold to people for home use. Handpresso is distributed in Western Canada by Wespresso and available at many retailers in Vancouver including MEC, Milano Coffee Roaster, ECM, QCS, Re Entry Espresso, La Grotta Del Formagio, The Well, Revolucion and Turks Coffee Exchange.
