Coziness comes in many forms.
You’ll find some of them in our studio this weekend.

From tiny little puffy pouches (made from our sheepskin remnants/scrap) to larger bags & clutches and our decadent sheepskin collars …. Not to mention the softest baby alpaca accessories you can imagine. They’ll all be available in our studio this Saturday from noon - 4.
Most are one of a kind or one of just a few.

Feel free to reach out in advance if you are looking for something specific.

Several of our neighbours will be open as well. My direct neighbours will both be open - but there will be several others as well.

Wow! What a fantastic weekend of connecting & reconnecting with so many people.

Thank you to everyone that came out for the . The conversations, hugs, support, purchases & appreciation of our work was absolutely astounding. ❤️❤️❤️ I really can’t thank you enough.
It really does make a difference - and not a small one.

If you missed us during the Crawl please reach out. We’d love to see you & have 3 more local events outside of our studio (the next 3 weekends) & a one day Open Studio on Dec. 20th along with many neighbours .
If none of those dates/events work for you please reach out. Private studio visits on other days are welcome by appointment.

Four more sleeps until the

Still in the process of transforming the studio. But there is progress. These big bins are full of leather garments waiting for their turn to be recreated as bags and accessories. Fortunately we were thinking ahead & put most of the bins on casters last year. But even being on casters they gave me quite the work out.

Every year at this time we push all our leather and machines to the back of our studio & turn the front part into a gallery. Everything is made by hand and takes significant time to produce. What you see during these events is a year’s worth of production.

We hope you’ll have a chance to stop by the Crawl or one of our other upcoming events (see details in highlights). We’d love to see you & show you what we’ve been up to.

Wow! How did we get to November so soon?

Time to clean up the studio an get ready for our first event of the year.
The is just over a week away & then it is full on go, go, go until well into December.

This year we are very pleased to add a new event that we are extremely excited about. ooek is in it’s first year and promises to offer something unique.

Combining those two events with our other favs (at the studio of my dear friend ) & ( at the fabulous ) plus our annual Open House at rounds out the season well.

And a little reminder, we will be bringing different items to each of these events - so if you are looking for something specific feel free to reach out. We are happy to bring it along to the event you are attending if you give us the heads up. We will also do our best to post some photos of what you can expect at each event.

Re. two questions we are receiving regularly:

1) Re. Items for men
There will be a really good selection of our men’s buckle belts available at the culture Crawl & at Krampus - along with men’s wallets being available at all events. (Yes, we focused a lot on these items this year).

2) Re. Our Baby Alpaca Collection
The full selection of our Baby Alpaca knitwear will be available at our Open Studio.
It will not be on display during the Culture Crawl but you can certainly ask for it or pick up during the crawl. We may have a few select pieces from our Baby Alpaca Collection available at each of the other events but it will be select items. Definitely ask in advance if you are coming for something specific.

We really hope to see you during the season.

Our Clyde Sling.

Shot on location a stone’s throw from our studio with my muse as the model.

My son Mateo has been the reason I began selling my leather work and has continually inspired me, guided me, informed me, critiqued me and challenged me.

I gave up my jobs teaching & working as a technician in the fine arts to stay at home with him. I kept creating but in a different medium.

This guy has assisted me & guided me in so many ways and somewhere along the way he developed an elevated sense of style. His feedback, input and comments are always welcome & I am lucky to have him by my side.

For this shoot back in February Mateo bailed me out once again. Our scheduled male model was ill and Mateo was coerced to step in. Glad he did as I love these photos. (And hope he’ll continue to model for me as we create more items for men).

Thanks Mateo! You’re the biggest force behind everything I do.
