Teething can be tricky to spot, since symptoms don't always line up with when the tooth is actually coming through.⁠

Most babies begin teething between 4–7 months, though every child is different. All 20 primary teeth typically appear by age 3, with incisors coming first and molars last.

You might hear this called "cutting teeth," which is when the tooth pushes through the gum. This can be uncomfortable for your little one and may shake up your family's usual rhythms for a while.

On Sunday, March 8, clocks will automatically be set forward by one hour, meaning that your family will lose an hour of sleep!

If your baby is sensitive, sneak up on the time change by adjusting
in slow, small increments. Adjust wake times, naps, and bedtime to be 10 to 15 minutes earlier each day, ideally a week before the change happen.

If you have an easy going baby:

Some little ones may not need any adjustment. If that’s the case, simply switch to the new time for all naps and bedtime the day of DST.

For Newborns:

Newborns don’t need a sleep schedule change for DST, since they haven’t developed a strong circadian rhythm quite yet.(Their sleep is driven more by hunger than by the clock!)
